Mac Sales Fuel 54 Percent Jump

Apple announced Wednesday second-quarter income hit $3.49 billion, a 54 percent leap powered by sales of its stalwart line of Macintosh computers. Apple said Mac sales rose 51 percent at a time when PC demand rose only 12 percent.
