Fluke Networks and Customers to Showcase Best Practices for Improved Application Performance Management at Cisco Live 2009
Jul 1st, 2009 by Tim
Fluke Networks today announced their participation at Cisco Live 2009 being held in San Francisco, June 27 – July 2, 2009. Doug Kemp, IT Director of Network & Telecommunications with CARQUEST Auto Parts, and Fluke Networks will present a case study revealing how CARQUEST’s IT department is successfully managing inventory and supporting 4,000 worldwide retail locations. This presentation will take place at Noon (PDT) on Tuesday, June 30 in the Moscone Center Room S308. Additionally, Fluke Networks will be joined by several customers, including grocery retailer Safeway and online insurance marketplace NetQuote, to present a series of theater sessions in Fluke Networks’ booth (#915). “As new technologies such as telepresence and convergence place new demands on the network infrastructures more complex, regular monitoring and assessment of networked application performance is vital for efficient delivery of key business services,” said Scott Allen, Vice President of Marketing for the Performance Management Business Unit at Fluke Networks. “By taking this performance-based approach, IT departments will be better equipped to save their organization both time and money and improve their bottom line.”
The theater presentations will address best practices and strategies for improved networked application performance management. Conference attendees stopping by Fluke Networks’ booth will learn more about:
- Quantifying performance gains and proving the value of Cisco WAAS
- Using Cisco IOS NetFlow to manage a changing data center
- Managing infrastructure upgrade changes
- The value of LAN acceptance testing
- Ensuring the fabric of your virtualized data center
- Managing application performance and moving beyond “Its not the network!”
- The promise – and challenge – of deploying 802.11n
In addition to the theater presentations, Fluke Networks’ Visual Performance Manager will be on display throughout the show. The latest version of the networked application performance system measures and demonstrates the return on investment (ROI) of Cisco WAAS deployments, improves client analysis and reporting of critical business applications and provides identification of the root cause of application slow downs in as few as three mouse-clicks, reducing mean time to repair.
Cisco Live is Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference and this year marks the twentieth anniversary of Cisco Networkers, the company’s premier education and training program. Fluke Networks is a platinum sponsor of the 2009 conference.
